Property Description

Myrddin is one of five traditional Welsh stone and slate cottages nestled in an idyllic spot with truly fantastic valley views over the Pembrokeshire meadows and woodlands, the perfect retreat where you can to switch off and get away from life’s hustle and bustle. This characterful cottage has been lovingly converted from the original farm at Fron Fawr to provide a fantastic base to explore this part of west Wales and boasts a shared hot tub and stunning views. On-site there is a livestock/pets corner where guests can view and feed the animals.
Myrddin is an end terrace of three cottages with a bright and airy open plan living, dining and kitchen which is perfect for socialising whilst cooking that special meal. Patio doors flood the room with light and offer views over the garden and grounds – you may prefer to dine al fresco with a BBQ within your enclosed patio area.
Fron Fawr Cottages are set amongst 32 acres of green pastureland and woodland. The hamlet of Boncath is within a short walk and the Pembrokeshire coastline is just 5 miles away, where the 186 miles of National Park footpath begin between Cardigan and Amroth in the south, taking in some truly exceptional coves, beaches and cliffs.
The historic market town of Cardigan is only 10-minute drive away. Here you can find a plethora of eateries specialising in local home cooked produce, step back in time at the 11th-century restored Cardigan Castle or take in a play at the theatre.
A visit to Cenarth Falls is not to be missed, and if timed well, you can see the salmon leaping up the falls, which really is a fantastic sight, or take a short trip to the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran which runs along the banks of the River Teifi, 2 miles away, famous for coracle fishing (licence required, day permits available). Fishermen can also find fishing off the coast, 5 miles away (no cost), and there are also a number of coarse fishing lakes within 10-15 miles.
A great day out for all is the walled town of Tenby complete with sandy beach. Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park, Heatherton World of Adventure, and Folly Farm Zoo are all within a 40-minute drive a fantastic family days out. Beach 7 miles. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
