Guests also have their own large, private garden with a summerhouse and lawn, perfect for all ages to enjoy a game of croquet or football with the sets provided. Relax in the hot tub and admire the surrounding scenery or enjoy a barbecue under the summer sun. With so much to do at Cunnoquhie Stable Cottage, you may not want to go far, however you are in a great location for exploring all that Fife has to offer.

Just 10 minutes away is the market town of Cupar, ideal for picking up supplies with a good selection of local shops and places to eat. For a family day out visit the Scottish Deer Centre, Sea Life Centre and or beaches at Tentsmuir Forest and beach. The historic city of St Andrews can be reached within a 20-minute drive, making Cunnoquhie Stable Cottage ideal for guests visiting friends and family who are based at St Andrews University or attending one of the graduation ceremonies. St Andrews also offers quality cafés, bars, bistros and restaurants, excellent shopping as well as a sandy beach and harbour and many historic buildings. Renowned worldwide as the ’Home of Golf’ and regularly playing host to the Open Championship, it is a golfer’s paradise with its championship courses, as well as the British Golf Museum.

For days out, Falkland Palace and Garden are well worth a visit, and is one of Scotland’s finest Renaissance palaces and steeped in history. Fans of the TV series ’Outlands’ will recognise the location which was used as 1940s Inverness, and there are many more locations used in the series to visit in the area. Within easy driving distance Dundee, is only 18 miles and home to the V&A and waterfront. Visit Perth, 26 miles, or the vibrant capital city of Edinburgh, 41 miles, or why not take the train from Ladybank station where there is a regular service into the capital city? Beach 17 miles.
