Property Description
This adorable waterside home sits proudly in a very unique location; in an exclusive marina designed by the same architect from the design team at Port Grimaud. Several A-listers have taken refuge here in their impressive homes overlooking the water, where canals lead to the Canal du Midi and onto the sea, making it perfect for boat owners. A 15-minute walk along the canal (or a shorter cycle ride) takes you into the ancient medieval town of Aigues Mortes with its impressive ancient walls protecting streets full of medieval houses, excellent restaurants, bars and shops.
But it doesn’t end there. The beautiful Camargue Nature Reserve with its white horses, black bulls and flamingos is literally on the doorstep. This areas stunning beaches are all also nearby, including the sublime Plage de L’Espiguette, renowned for its dunes, crystal clear waters and preserved natural beauty and less than 20 minutes away. Grau du Roi beach is just a 10-minute drive away or a 25-minute bike ride along the cycle track and La Grande Motte is also nearby. There are plenty of cycling trails from Aigues Mortes down to the beach and inland alongside the canals and watersports and river activities are a-plenty.
The beautiful town of Nîmes, with its impressive Roman ruins is only 45 minutes away and is also easily reached by train. Likewise Montpellier nearby, as well as Arles, famous for its ancient Roman amphitheatre. A day trip to Carcassonne or Avignon are also recommended as well as a meander through the local wineries.
La Marina is in a private, gated residence and it backs onto the canal where its lovely south west facing sundeck with little salt water pool enjoys the sunshine and waterside views. This is the perfect spot for cooking on the barbecue, eating alfresco and relaxing on a sun-lounger whilst sipping local rosé. The swimming pool even has jet streams if you need to try and work off the local food!
Holidays don’t come much better than this; with everything on the doorstep and a beautiful home to come back to after days exploring this sundrenched jewel in the South of France, packed with fine beaches, ancient ruins, historic towns, places of natural beauty and of course mouthwatering food and wine.

REGION
Languedoc-Roussillon is one of those areas of France where you can feel like you’re totally cut off from the rest of the country. Commercial tourism has been very slow to capitalise on the region, meaning you can still enjoy a slice of authentic French rural life at its finest. A mixture of landscapes also makes it a great place to visit, with a good stretch of coastline offering a totally different experience to more bucolic interiors. Whatever you’re looking for, our range of villas and chateaux in Languedoc means you can get exactly the kind of holiday you want with accommodation that’s perfectly tailored to you, your friends and family.
