Nearby attractions include Brougham Castle, Acorn Bank Garden and Watermill, the Rheged Centre and Wetheriggs Pottery.
Higher Barn is easily accessible from the M6 and just a stone’s throw from the Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales and Scottish Borders. The market town of Appleby is nearby, famous for its horse fair, and the larger town of Penrith is approximately 20 minutes’ drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
