A good-sized kitchen has all the space you need to make a hearty family meal, and for those little ones who struggle to keep clean whilst on holiday, a separate utility area has a washing machine and separate dryer, should you need them. This area also is large enough to store bikes, should you wish to explore the area on two wheels. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, the master with en-suite shower facilities, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The house bathroom comes with a full-size bath and an electric shower above it.
Outside, the large enclosed garden is a great place where you can sit out or run around in, but with the beach just a few minutes’ walk away, there are also some wonderful coastal walks for you to explore. Black Coombe, at 600m high, offers some unobstructed views across to Scotland, the Isle of Man, the Cumbrian coastline, and on a clear day you can even make out Blackpool Tower!
This beautiful corner of Cumbria has a wealth of visitor attractions, and every family holiday should include a day out on the La’al Ratty, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. Spanning 7 miles, the line runs from Ravenglass to Dalegarth Station near Boot in the valley of Eskdale. Muncaster Castle is a perfect day out for the whole family, with its gardens and various displays, and its roaming animals (some in walk-through natural areas), big cats, giraffes, rhinos and monkeys. A visit afterwards to the South Lakes Safari Zoo will complete your holiday. Beach ½ mile. Shop and pub ¼ mile, restaurant ½ mile.
