Continuing up the coast road, you will arrive at Portreath and Porthtowan, which are both popular surfing beaches. The special light in this area has attracted artists over the generations and the town has a wealth of art galleries, including the Tate Modern and the Barbara Hepworth sculpture museum. The scenic coastal train runs from nearby station at St Erth past numerous stunning beaches, to St Ives.
