Villa Estrellita is, as its name suggests, indeed a little star and is an exciting new addition to our Menorcan countryside collection. Located in extensive grounds in the middle of flat, stone walled, farmlands and fields just outside Sant Luis. This beautiful house is just a short drive or 15 minute walk to this busy little town where there are a good selection of café bars and shops as well as some very popular local restaurants and two well stocked supermarkets. The beach at Binibeca is also well within a 10 minute drive via Sant Luis, whilst the capital of Menorca, Mahon, is 15 minutes in the other direction. The private swimming pool, which includes a new whirlpool section, and sunbathing terraces are surrounded by lawns and only overlooked by the properties own terrace whilst a pergola with a built in BBQ and dining area provides a great spot for al fresco dining. Theres a small putting green (putters are provided) a childrens play area and even a pair of goals for football practice, in the baking sun… Inside, the house is very tastefully furnished with great comfort and style. With air conditioning throughout, a well equipped kitchen and modern facilities such as WiFi, surround sound cine system and satellite TV blending smoothly with terracotta floors and beamed ceilings, Villa Estrellita is a delightful choice for a holiday break in Menorca.

Beautifully but simply landscaped with attractive dry stone walls and lush lawns, the grounds are immaculately tended, offering a putting green, children’s play area and even a small football pitch, complete with goal post.

Adjacent to the house is a large semi-circular terrace with a pool that incorporates a delightful whirlpool section. Chill out under a cloudless sky while the kids kick a ball around or stretch out on one of the poolside loungers with a good novel or that pile of magazines you never get round to reading. Natural shade is provided from mature trees dotted around the grounds as well as a timber pergola for alfresco dining alongside the built-in barbecue.

The house itself is traditional in style, a delicate plaster pink with terracotta floors and arches providing a typically Hispanic feel. A trio of huge sliding glass doors opening onto the patio bring light flooding into the wonderful conservatory, furnished with rattan seating and a large wooden dining suite so you can admire the view over the garden whatever the temperature outside.

Predominantly single-storey, the property has some eye-catching features, including a quirky waved ceiling and a stunning covered front entrance flanked by elegant terracotta pots. The sunny fitted kitchen with a central island unit and breakfast bar is perfect for anyone wishing to try their hand at some traditional Menorcan cooking (although the delicatessen in the nearby town of San Lluis offers a take-away paella for those who prefer to leave it to the experts).

The lounge is a comfy spot for relaxing evenings spent watching a movie after a busy day at the beach and comes complete with leather sofas, surround sound cinema system, satellite TV and DVD player.

Three of the four attractive bedrooms are located on the ground floor, including one with a king size bed and en suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath, separate shower and twin washbasins. A twin bedded room and a single room share a separate bathroom. Upstairs, the master suite offers a bright, king size bedded room with huge arched windows leading out onto a private terrace overlooking the gardens. A nightcap here under the glittering stars is an experience not to be missed.

For such a tranquil place, it seems remarkable that it’s just a short drive or a 15 minute walk to the pretty town of San Lluis with its historic, whitewashed buildings, numerous restaurants, bars and shops and a bustling weekly market. From here it’s less than ten minutes’ drive to the beach resorts of Binibeca, Alcaufar, Punta Prima and S’Algar where soft white sand beaches and clear turquoise waters await.
