Property Description
Positioned in a prestigious area, within the picture-postcard village of Bamburgh, Glenander sits proudly, a grand Edwardian family property with an abundance of charm. Glenander is a splendid example of the arts and crafts era where many original features ensure this lovely property oozes with character. Yet, the property has been extensively modernised and refurbished to offer quality self-catering accommodation, with all the benefits of contemporary living. The arched entrance leads to a spacious hallway where the living room leads off at the front, and the dining room and kitchen at the rear. Three of the five bedrooms are situated on the first floor with another two bedrooms on the second floor. With four pristine bathrooms, this property is a superb choice for the gathering of families and friends alike.
Glenander is the quintessential coastal retreat for those seeking spacious self-catering holiday accommodation. With easy access to indulge in the simple pleasures of strolling barefoot in the sand, inhaling the invigorating sea air and watching the waves lap against the shoreline of this stunning stretch of Heritage coastline, this region is proud to be designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Bamburgh, protected by its dramatic fortress, which commands the power and presence of the seasoned film set it regularly becomes, is only a gentle stroll away along with three pubs, restaurants and shops. The wide expanses of golden, and often empty, sandy beaches are where the tidal island of Lindisfarne, locally known as Holy Island and the birth place of Christianity, can be viewed.

Waren Mill is steeped in history and only 2 miles north, once an important port, its harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. Bude Bay is a bird sanctuary, and at low tide a vast expanse of mud flats is the home to countless thousands of sea and land birds, making this location a haven for bird watchers. The traditional fishing port of Seahouses is only 3 miles south. Take a boat trip from its harbour to the Farne Islands – famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony. The historic market town of Alnwick, with its own castle offers many facilities. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
