Property Description
Med Views is a gorgeous proposition for two families, a multi-generational family or a group of friends. Sitting right next to the very best part of Alcudia’s stunning beach, Med Views consists of two contemporary wonders which share a beautiful garden and swimming pool. With direct beach access and close to all of Alcudia’s fantastic amenities, there is actually no need to hire cars though you might want to explore the magical island of Mallorca. The first of the villas offers a glorious open plan living space, a sleek kitchen, three beautiful bedroom suites with ensuite bathrooms and a separate television room with a double sofa bed. The second villa enjoys an open plan living space and two spacious bedrooms, again with spacious chrome and glass bathrooms.
Alcudia is one long suntrap with over 30 kilometres of stunning coastline offering tranquility, relaxation, watersports, crystal clear water and plenty of glistening white sand. Every watersport that you could dream of its catered for, from scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, snorkeling, paddle surfing, kite surfing, inflatable rides and fishing. Much of the coastline is backed by dunes and extensive pine forests. Alcudia Old Town is blessed with charming cobbled streets, small squares, ancient buildings and a strong artisan tradition. It offers a full agenda of cultural events and centuries-old traditions all year round.
Both of the villas share a beautiful, generous garden with lush lawns, a pool and a wonderfully shaded, lightly wooded area by the beach. A path leads you to a gate that opens onto the fine, silky sands. Guests can dine alfresco, lounge on the Eames inspired Eiffel rocking chairs and laze by the pool, soaking up the glorious sunshine.
The larger of the two villas enjoys an impeccably furnished open plan living space. As soon as you enter the villa, the glass architecture allows you to see straight though to the beach and sea. The walls of glass also ensure that the space is drowned in natural light and that the outside all feels part of your villa. A large, contemporary dining table and chairs sits enjoying the breeze, large enough for the guests staying in both villas. The generous living area is enveloped in glass and offers gorgeous garden and sea views, a television and sumptuous furnishings. Just outside is a shaded alfresco lounge area leading to the garden. An contemporary staircase leads upstairs to the mezzanine hallways and the bedrooms. The kitchen is a sleek, dazzling white wonder with excellent appliances and double doors that open to the pool and terrace. The three bedrooms, like the downstairs spaces, enjoy a very open feel with walls of glass opening onto balconies. They each offer comfy kingsize beds, dazzling white walls and wooden floors. There are little bright colour pops in the form of soft furnishings and artwork. The villa boasts three immaculate bathrooms, again all in white with lots of chrome and glass. The additional television room could be used for extra guests sleeping on the sofa bed. It has access to a furnished terrace.
The second villa is very similar in design though with a smaller living space which includes a living area, dining area and a small kitchen. Again, the bedrooms enjoy beautifully dressed kingsize beds with terraces. There is a family bathroom to share, similar in its sleek design to the bathrooms in the larger villa. This arrangement is perfect if you have two families or perhaps grandparents who want to a little private space as well as enjoying a holiday with their children and grandchildren.

Location
Med Views enjoys enjoys a fabulous beachfront location in Alcudia, within easy reach of the atmospheric Alcudia Old Town. The medieval town of Alcudia is Mallorca’s largest tourist hub in the north. It is located on a peninsula that separates the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia. Alcudia Old Town oozes charm from its lovely sandstone architecture which is prettiest in the golden-hued late afternoon sunlight. It is compact and full of appealing narrow streets, first class gastronomic restaurants, trendy bars and charming boutiques. You can visit the colourful market for which it is famous, taste delicious tapas and sangria, walk around the top of the old walls and enjoy splendid views, visit the Bullring, the Roman ruins, museum and amphitheatre, visit the fabulous Sant Jaume Church and buy souvenirs in the quaint shops. Sant Jaume Church is built in Neo-Gothic style and was finished in 1893 after the first church built in the 14th century fell into disrepair. The parish church was named after its founder King Jaume II, who was the man behind the massive town walls. Art lovers enjoy the fantastic Sa Bassa Blanca Museum created by Yannick and Ben Jakober. Situated in an old palace overlooking the stunning bay and harbour of Alcudia and Port Alcudia from its location on the slopes of Alcanada, it is one of the most impressive and unique exhibition halls in Mallorca. What makes Sa Bassa Blanca special, aside from the contemporary art collection, are the arches, tiled floors and beautiful gardens. There is a collection of animal sculptures in the garden and a fabulous art collection inside the building. Alcudia Old Town is roughly five minutes by car from the coast. The town puts on a whole host of cultural events including traditional fiestas and classical music festivals. You can walk around the entire perimeter of the medieval walls, either on the inside using the Cami de Ronde route or on the outside, using what has now become a gardened walk. From the top of the walls, you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Bay of Pollensa.
The town boasts an incredible history. The Romans brought an end to piracy and built the town but later, Alcudia was destroyed in the 6th century. The town returned to greatness under the Moors. The narrow streets of the Old Town, especially Carrer d’en Serra are resonant of its Arab past. The walls you see today were added in the early 14th century under the rule of King Jaume II. Can Torro is the library of Alcudia. It is a beautiful mansion dating back from the early Middle Ages. As well as being the library, Can Toro aims to be one of the most innovative cultural spaces on the Balearic islands. Multimedia and interactivity are key to its intellectual playground.
If you visit the cave and mountain of Sant Marti, close to the Hidropark Alcudia, you will enjoy some amazing views over Alcudia. A staircase carved out of the rock grants provides access to the natural cave. There are two chapels, one medieval and one gothic, with round-arched portals in the main hall dedicated to Sant Marti and Sant Jordi.
Nature reigns supreme in this corner of Mallorca. There are twelve walking routes to explore this beautiful paradise, all offering breathtaking panoramic views of the coast, mountains and marshes, set against the intense blue backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. There are more than 200 species of birds present.
Golf fans are delighted with the famous Alcanada Golf Club. As well as having superb greens designed by Robert Trent Jones, there are incredible views and a wonderful restaurant.

KIDS
Best Suited For: All Ages
Children love staying at Med Views. If they are lucky they will have friends or family staying in the second villa. The garden is delightful with plenty of room for family games, a great swimming pool and a wooded area with direct beach access. It doesn’t get much better than opening a gate for an early morning or late evening swim! Along this very special coastline, there are numerous coves and small beaches as well as a set of small islands and islets. It is a great place for sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, parasailing, banana boat rides, pedal boats with slides, inflatable rides and scuba diving as well as hiking, running or cycling. With 30km of coast, the Alcudia area has so many beaches and coves including Alcanada, Cala Poncet, Can Cap de Bou, Coll Baix, Es Barcares, Es Farallo, Playa de Alcudia, Sa Marina, Sant Joan, Sant Pere and S’Illot. The Hotel Bellevue Complex at Puerto Alcudia offers a thrilling go-karting playground called Kartingmania which is open to all visitors. There is a special track for 4-7 year olds and children over 7 years old can drive on the main track in customized, gasoline-powered karts.
During the summer months, a unique cultural event takes place in Alcudia Old Town, the Via Fora. It is a tour that tells the story of various historical events in the city, performed by a group of actors and musicians that will make you travel back in time. It is interesting and fun for children as the show includes interaction with the audience.
There are three waterparks on Mallorca including Western Water Park in Magaluf, Aqualand in El Arenal and the close by Hidropark in Alcudia. Set in lush landscaped gardens, it boasts kamikaze slides, a wave pool, swimming, gentle slides for very young children and water playgrounds in its 40,000 metres. There are also inflatable castles, trampolines, giant floating balls and a golf course.
A popular outing for children is to visit some of Mallorca’s interesting caves. Coves d’Arta’s guided tour takes you through various chambers to the ‘Queen of Pillars’, a huge stalagmite 22 metres tall. Coves de Drach, which means Caves of the Dragon, is the most famous of the caves. It has four caves where musicians play classical music from the boats on the underground lake.
Puerto Pollensa offers plenty of watersports as well as sandcastle building and swimming in the lovely azure shallow waters. You can take your pick of amazing boat rides on glass-bottom boats, catamarans and speed boats to watch dolphins, snorkel and dive. Puerto Pollensa’s floating water park is very popular. Children are given life jackets and swim to the park or use the rope connecting it to the beach. It is challenging and great fun.
