Villa Summer Bay is a luxurious 5 bedroom villa with 5 ensuite bathrooms and 1 wc on the ground floor and 1 wc one the basement level. The villa is set in spacious grounds and suitable for up to 10 adults and an additional 2 small children. The extra child guests can be accommodated with a pull-out sofa bed that is located in the playroom on the ground floor.
The exterior
Summer Bay boasts a fabulous indoor/outdoor living space perfect for families sharing or several friends enjoying a sunny holiday together. In the garden, there is a lovely sunny pool (12 x 6m, maximum depth 2m) with lots of sun-loungers, which will also have to option to be heated.
You can do proper laps or have a fantastic pool volleyball game, or, if that’s too energetic, simply flop out in the hammock, nestled between two umbrella pine trees, to read your favourite book.
The BBQ area with gas BBQ has its own covered terrace with dining tables and chairs to totally forget about the ‘real world’. Now’s the time to relax and soak up the Algarvean sunshine.
The living areas
The property is accessed via a fabulously grand entrance hall leading on to a large, modern kitchen with spacious dining area- perfect to enjoy breakfast in the morning. Just outside the kitchen window are orange, lemon and lime tress and you can pick your own fruit when it is in season.
The large indoor formal dining area is great for late night dining and leads to the lounge and outdoor entertainment area with BBQ, dining table and chairs, sun-loungers, sofas, shady terraces, a grassy garden and a south-facing, sunny pool.
The combined lounge/dining room has terrace doors leading to the outdoor area – there is a wonderful feeling of space and light with plenty of room for everyone to relax and chill out while on holiday. The living area has a 55” flat screen TV with satellite channels and Sonos sound bar. The villa has Wifi and air conditioning throughout for your convenience and comfort plus a separate playroom with TV/DVD player and lots of books and games to keep the kids entertained.
There is also a huge basement entertainment area with 65” flat screen TV with DVD and satellite channels, Sonos soundbar, Wii Games console and table tennis table. There is also a separate office area if you really feel the need to work instead of enjoying the sunshine.
About Fonte Santa
The development of Fonte Santa is set beside the beaches of Trafal and Almargem, only 1km from the renowned Vale do Lobo resort. The area is surrounded by beautiful pine forests and is within easy reach of the famous golf courses of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo and walking distance from miles and miles of golden beaches.
The villa is a 15-minute walk to the beach where you can access fabulous restaurants including BJ’s Oceanside at Praia do Almargem and Temperus on Praia Trafal. Just up the road is the famous Marufu 1 and Marufu 2’Chicken Shack’ – incredibly popular all year round.all because Marufu produces the yummiest grilled/bbq chicken – a family of 4 can eat and be full for less than €25 – what a bargain! Also in the same area within walking distance is a Lidl supermarket (with parking if you drive).
Just a short drive, less than 5 minutes, is the stunning resort of Vale do Lobo. A 5-star resort with numerous facilities like the Vale do Lobo Royal and Ocean Golf courses, Tennis centre and excellent restaurants like Monty’s, Sandbanks, Breeze and Oriental Teahouse to name just a few. The resort also has a bank, cash machines, spa, supermarket, medical centre, newsagents, hair-dresser and pretty much all the little luxury extras that you might want while on holiday.
Every Wednesday there is a gypsy market that you can wander to and from the villa. There is a great selection of jewellery, clothing, handbags & shoes and also traditional Portuguese table clothes, lace and beach towels. Enjoy a coffee and a snack and watch the tourists and locals alike come to snap up a bargain or two. Perfect for taking home souvenirs and trinkets to remind you of your wonderful holiday.
Fonte Santa can be accessed in two ways. One is from the back of Vale do Lobo golf courses and leads directly into Fonta Santa or via the Quarteira road, (where the gypsy market is held each Wednesday.) Take a left at the roundabout coming from Almancil and head towards the beaches (Trafal and Almargem). We recommend car hire when staying in Fonte Santa.
