This enchanting single-storey villa is spacious, bright and perfectly located within easy walking distance of the quiet resort of Olhos d’Agua. Charmingly traditional in style, with its authentic cobalt blue and dazzling white painted exterior, Villa Mirante I can’t fail to impress. Its graceful arches, elegant pillars and Moorish style chimneys are very much in keeping with the area’s historic architecture while the property’s interior has been appointed with 21st century comforts and classic modern furnishings.

Set within extensive, beautifully landscaped gardens, the house has clearly been designed for pure relaxation and enjoyment. To the rear, a large brick patio encircles a fabulous pool, heatable on request at extra cost, as well as a separate children’s pool. Stylish loungers and seating areas are thoughtfully provided both for sun and shade while around the manicured lawns, a magnificent collection of flourishing shrubs frames a superb sea view.

Tennis lovers will be eager to step out onto the private walled tennis court with its pristine, all-weather surface. Novice or expert, this wonderful facility offers a chance for friends and family to spend quality time together as well as introducing a little gentle rivalry. Guests can also enjoy table tennis, table football and a Playstation 3 games console so there is certainly plenty in the way of entertainment for all ages.

Inside, the villa is immaculately presented throughout, with cool stone floors, pure white walls and vaulted, exposed timber ceilings. The ivory painted furniture has a timeless elegance, while cheerful splashes of cherry red here and there add a sense of fun.

The large, airy open plan lounge offers a choice of seating areas to accommodate guests’ chosen activities, with a large TV and DVD player for movies and small tables laid out for board games and drinks. Floor to ceiling patio doors flood the rooms with light and there’s a choice of dining areas both outside and in.

Being single storey, the villa’s five pristine, comfortably furnished bedrooms are all easily accessed and each has its own superbly appointed en suite bath or shower room.

The sunny kitchen is a delight to potter round with its fully fitted painted cabinets, modern appliances and breakfast table. Double glass doors open out from here onto a covered poolside patio so you can head outside to savour your meals in the balmy Algarve air. Around the side of the house is a further outside dining area, shaded by a timber canopy and with a built-in brick barbecue and sink; it’s a perfect spot to grill a few juicy steaks or sardines over a cold beer or a glass of chilled vinho verde.

This stunning villa is ideally located within easy walking distance of the peaceful resort of Olhos d’Agua, a former traditional fishing village boasting a range of good fish restaurants, bars and a supermarket. The lovely sandy beach with its umbrella pines and curious rock pools is also accessible on foot. The resort is popular with families due to its quieter ambience, however the livelier Albufeira is close by for those seeking a little more in the way of nightlife and the magnificent Falesia Beach and Pine Cliffs golf course are just a short drive away.
