The magnificent villa Santa Lucia stands proudly within vast, beautifully landscaped gardens, its driveway winding tantalisingly through manicured lawns, flourishing pines and palm trees, eye-catching sculptures and elegant fountains.

The villa has its own large sun terrace and a fantastic private pool with a separate whirlpool section and shares the stunning 30,000 square metre grounds with its sister property, Santa Maria. This versatility allows the villas to be rented separately for up to 12 guests each or by large groups of up to 24 guests accommodated between the two.

The impressively designed Santa Lucia is a delightful blend of Spanish and Moorish styles with all the comforts of 21st century living. From the warm ochre exterior and shimmering blue roof tiles to the striking stained glass dome on top of the central tower, the attention to detail is unstinting. Inside, you’ll find traditional Spanish tiles and wrought iron balustrades, huge murals and intricate mouldings, all of which give this outstanding home great character and charm. Modern technology still has its place, however, with piped music available throughout the house.

The generous accommodation and living areas extend over three floors, with two tastefully furnished living rooms and two fully fitted kitchens providing plenty of space for guests to plan their activities together or separately. On the ground floor there’s also a smart dining area with patio doors leading out onto a covered terrace overlooking the pool. Here you can relax in the shade or share a leisurely lunch alfresco before taking an afternoon stroll around those wonderful grounds.

There are six very comfortable double or twin bedrooms, five with their own luxurious en suite bath or shower rooms and one with a separate shower room. The lower ground floor is devoted to fun and relaxation, with a cosy snug, complete with fireplace and flat screen TV and a games room with table tennis and a pool table for those who enjoy a friendly challenge.

Within the shared grounds there’s a handy pathway that’s perfect for jogging or power walking and there’s even a multi-purpose court for tennis, basketball or other sports with a changing room and showers beside it.

The closest of the Costa Blanca’s fine sandy beaches is only 11 kilometres away and nearby is the lovely city of Elche, famed for its many shoe-making businesses, a glorious palm grove of over 200,000 palm trees and the magnificent Basilica of Santa Maria with its stunning blue dome.
