Gateshead, only an hour away, has a large shopping centre with restaurants and ten screen cinema. Or just stay home and relax in front of the wood burner and eat together with family and friends. Set in a garden, bordered by mature trees with panoramic views over green fields and wild fells. Before it lies the site of an ancient Britain fort, and behind, the Roman’s Maiden Way.
