Location
Villa Subic is located on the hillside of Mlini, a delightful seaside resort just outside of Dubrovnik. It is half way between Cavtat and Dubrovnik. Mlini enjoys some amazing restaurants, cafes and bars, good shops and a lovely beach where the sunsets are sensational. Mlini gets its name from the numerous fresh water wellsprings that used to power the local flour mills in the past. From Mlini, visitors can take a water ferry or boat trip to visit Dubrovnik Old Town, the island of Lokrum where some of Game of Thrones was filmed and the other Elaphiti islands as well as Cavtat. On Lokrum, visitors enjoy the popular saltwater swimming spot named the ‘Dead Sea’ and beautiful gardens. Villa Subic is close to a number of wonderful beaches including Plat Beach, Siba Beach, Mlini Beach, Srebreno Beach and Kupari Beach.
Though visiting the Old Town of Dubrovnik will be on the top of your excursion list, there are some charming, small, peaceful villages to explore in the countryside including Brgat Donji, Gornji Brgat, Celopeci and Buici and by the sea Plat and Srebreno. Plat is a lovely seaside hamlet with a promenade that stretches along the pebbly beach. It is perfect for a quiet swim.
Cavtat is within easy reach of the villa and only 22km from the border of Montenegro, another beautiful, fascinating visit. Cavtat is very pretty, hemmed in by mountains and lush swathes of pine and cypress forest and is rich in cultural history. It boasts beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, many ancient necropolises dotted around and a wonderful promenade lined with fishing boats and artisan shops. There are several museums and galleries. The town cemetery on the hill contains the Racic family mausoleum which is designed by the sculptor Ivan Mestrovic. The Epidaurus Festival of Music is held every year in Cavtat. Cavtat boasts some excellent restaurants.
Dubrovnik Old Town is incredibly beautiful. With its breathtaking natural beauty, rich historical heritage and fantastic array of restaurants, cafes, bars and unique shops, it is extremely popular. Visitors soak up the romantic atmosphere walking along the Stradun, the main thoroughfare and its narrow streets, admire the countless monuments, taste the delicious city’s rich gastronomic delights and be left breathless with its harmonious beauty. You can taste signature dishes such as rozata, kotonjata or black risotto along with local wines. If you are lucky you will get a table by the harbour. During the summer visitors can enjoy the Dubrovnik Summer Festival with music, theatre and dance performances.

ABOUT DUBROVNIK
Dubrovnik is one of the world’s most beautiful walled cities, and one of the most interesting places to stay in Europe. The old town is a knot of limestone streets – worth getting lost in, to stumble upon elegant palazzi and baroque churches. Beyond the sturdy medieval fortifications is a stunning rocky coastline, dotted with pebbly beaches, while islands cast adrift from mainland Croatia are just ready to be explored.
