The Capital Argostoli is a twenty minute drive with a lively main square, a pedestrianised shopping street and a daily market of fresh fish, vegetables, meat and fruit along the harbourside, great fun to buy everything fresh and cook up a storm back at the villa. Kefalonia has a good reputation for its wineries, and there are several nearby, so why not try a few tastings to see what whets the appetite and goes with the evening meals – what a treat!
